Parque Nacional da Serra das Lontras is where the pink-legged graveteiro (acrobatornis fonsecai) was discovered, a bird that required the cataloging of not only a new species but also a new genus. Little information about visiting this park is available; it has waterfalls and hills. Otters are no longer found in the region, despite the name of the mountain range.
