Cabeça de Dragão

Description

The Dragon's Head trail offers one of the most beautiful views of the mountains in the Serrana Region of Rio de Janeiro. Located in the Salinas Sector of the Três Picos State Park, the trail traverses sections of preserved Atlantic Forest and stone slabs along the mountain ridge, making a steady ascent to the summit of 2,080 m. From there, it is possible to enjoy a privileged view of several mountains, such as the Maior, Médio, and Menor Peaks, Capacete, Caixa de Fósforo, Pico Caledônia, Pico do Frade, and Faraó. On days with better visibility, it is also possible to see the mountains of Serra dos Órgãos, such as Dedo de Deus, and even the Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro.
