Cachoeira da Fumacinha por cima

Description

Cachoeira da Fumacinha is one of the most famous waterfalls in Chapada Diamantina, with over 100 meters of water drop embraced by an imposing canyon about 280 meters high. Most visitors choose to see it via the trail below, but it is also possible to reach its top by this path. This is an easier option than the traditional trail below, allowing for a different perspective of the waterfall. The trail is mostly traversed through areas of rocky fields, the predominant vegetation in Chapada Diamantina National Park. The route leads to the first of the four major drops of the waterfall, where it is possible to observe the imposing Julião Canyon. Higher up from the waterfall, there is a beautiful pool where one can bathe and enjoy the sun.
