Cachoeira do Elefante - Complexo de Trilhas do Rio Itapanhaú

Description

This trail is the most traditional of the Itapanhaú River Trail Complex in the Serra do Mar State Park - Bertioga Unit. It descends the slopes of the Serra to the imposing Elephant Waterfall, considered the largest waterfall in the region. The Elephant Waterfall is located below the majestic Véu da Noiva Waterfall, which can be seen from the Dom Paulo Rolim Loureiro Highway (SP-098), known as the Mogi-Bertioga Highway, especially from its viewpoint located at km 81. The trail traverses territory that was part of the history of the Trade Route during the colonial period of Brazil, connecting the lowlands with the plateau.
