Description

The Matchbox Rock Trail, also known as the Miracle Rock - for being 'miraculously' balanced - is a route that leads to one of the most curious rock formations in the Três Picos State Park. The attraction is a large stone monolith shaped like a matchbox, which draws attention for its 'balanced' appearance on the rocky base. Along the hike, visitors traverse the Valley of the Gods, an area of great scenic beauty, featuring mountainous landscapes, high-altitude fields, and stretches of forest. At the foot of the Matchbox Rock, it is possible to see the imposing peaks of Maior, Médio, and Capacete.
