Cânions I e II

5

Description

The trail to Canyons I and II is one of the most frequented in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. The first stop is at Canyon II, where you can see the Rio Preto flowing through continuous rocks with cliffs at its edges and entering a funnel into a waterfall. Below this fall, the waters reach a large pool, with rocks on the banks, where it is possible to take a bath. The route to Canyon I is the same as the previous one, with a small detour in the final kilometer. It consists of a small canyon, with smaller pools than the previous one and little space for people to settle. Many of its pools disappear in the dry season.
