Morro do Leme
Description
The Morro do Leme Trail is located within the Duque de Caixas Fort and leads to the top of the hill, where the public area of the Fort is found. From the top, the view is privileged; you can see the Christ the Redeemer, the beaches of Copacabana and Leme, as well as Sugarloaf Mountain from a different angle. In the distance, you can also spot the Dois Irmãos Hill, Pedra da Gávea, and the city of Niterói. The entire route is filled with monkeys, and if you're lucky, you might see a squirrel.
