Route

Take the Rio-Teresópolis highway and then the Rio-Bahia to the Quinta-Lebrão neighborhood, whose access is a little before the Teresópolis-Friburgo junction; take a street toward Sítio das Montanhas, where you park right in front of the house with a small green wooden gate. The trail starts at this gate. After climbing a small concrete stairway and passing a beautiful building set in the middle of the forest, you reach the trail proper, which in some sections has very well-preserved vegetation. Climbing all the way, you follow the ridge with low vegetation to the top. The hike can be considered easy, since reaching the summit takes between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes of hiking. This mountain can also be reached by rock climbing, and there are several routes for that.
