Route

The trail doesn't have many tricky sections. The challenge is that it is considered long, but when you reach the top, you realize that all the effort was worth it. Once past the gate, you will begin the easiest section of the trail. It is fully shaded by the trees and very well marked, and you will pass a stretch that still has paving dating back to the days of the Empire. After approximately 50 minutes of hiking, you reach the first stopping point, the Cachoeira Véu da Noiva. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, you reach Abrigo 3, a former campsite that is now used for resting. Abrigo 4 is a luxury: all the power is solar, and it has hot showers, a kitchen, bunk beds, a bivouac area, and you can also camp outside it. But to stay overnight there, you need to book in advance on the park's website. From there to the summit of the Pedra do Sino it is a 20-minute hike.
