The trail starts at the old Leitão da Cunha train station in the Trajano de Moraes district and leads to a historical tunnel through which a river flows, giving rise to the Cachoeira do Trem. Above the tunnel, the railway line used to run, which is where the name of the place comes from.

Adorei a região, a única decepção foi o ver estado em que se encontra a estação. É deprimente ver um prédio histórico totalmente abandonado.
