Trecho 09 - Estrada dos Teixeiras x Aqueduto do Catonho
Description
In this section, the walk, which is easy, also passes through forests and viewpoints, but the Catonho Aqueduct itself is the main highlight of the route. Pay attention to the striped signage in areas of difficult orientation, especially when passing through more open areas. Bring water for the entire route. From the Catonho Aqueduct, you can currently only proceed towards Teixeiras Road, in the region of the Pedra Branca State Park. To continue the Transcarioca Trail in the opposite direction, towards the Tijuca National Park, visitors should start the walk directly from the Ciganos Reservoir, heading towards Bom Retiro.
