It is part of the Caminhos da Flona (4 trails for hikers, marked and self-guided, in the Brasília National Forest). It is important to highlight that the Flona is part of the Union Arc of the Central Plateau Paths, the District Ecological Trails System (Federal District). The marking of the Buriti trail is a blue footprint.

Route

The Trilha Buriti starts at the Quiosque dos Mapas and follows a long, flat stretch of mixed vegetation of eucalyptus, grasses, and recovering Cerrado formations, reaches the Mirante do Escoteiro, and continues around the Espelho d’Água, the main spring of the Ribeirão das Pedras. It then winds through a large field of Samambaião (exotic vegetation) and an area with eucalyptus and pine trees. On this section, there is the option of a 1 km detour to the Bica de Lata for swimming, resting, water, and a camping option. At the end, it reaches the Geladeira, with a swimming spot and the beautiful bridge built by volunteer cyclists who also use the Flona. From the Geladeira, on a long climb, we pass the Paliteiro on the way to the Bosque de Pinheiros. After the Bosque, it enters the gallery forest of the Córrego das Pedras, where the final climb to the Quiosque dos Mapas begins.
