Trilha Cachoeira Retiro Velho
Description
The Retiro Velho Waterfall is located in the Serra do Cipó National Park, in Ribeirão Palmital, at the junction with the Gavião Stream, on the southern slope of the Bocaina Valley. Its fall is similar to those of its sisters in the region, and its pool is large and sunny, excellent for swimming.

Tips
Access to this attraction is usually made through the Retiro Entrance of the Serra do Cipó National Park, which has been closed since 2024. If it has not reopened, access to the attraction can be made through the Areias Entrance, which serves as the headquarters of the conservation unit. Located in the homonymous district, Serra do Cipó, this entrance is actually part of the municipality of Jaboticatubas, situated on opposite banks of the Cipó River.
