Cova de Onça is an area in the rural zone of the Curado neighborhood, in the city of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pernambuco. The region is known for being a trail in the Atlantic forest, featuring streams that beautify the path, covering 11 KM of pure contemplation with nature in a region very close to Recife/PE.

Route

We begin our journey at the UPA do Curado II, crossing a flat urban area. Next, we enter a wide track that soon starts to climb, marking our entry into the Atlantic Forest. On the descent that follows, we are treated to the rich diversity of the local flora and spot many bird species along the trail. We continue along a path through the forest that follows the COMPESA pipeline. After this section, we head to the stream, where we take a refreshing break. We resume the trail until we reach the swimming area. Finally, we tackle a steep climb to return to the wide track and finish our route at Azimute Zero.
