Description

The main attraction of this trail is the state of conservation of the Atlantic Forest. Being a new route, there is no type of human intervention or impact. The vegetation is well preserved with a high degree of natural regeneration, allowing visitors to experience the biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest.

Route

The route consists of a short hike of almost 3 km, part of it along an old road, where you can go birdwatching. As you enter the forest, you are immediately in contact with the lushness and diversity of the Atlantic Forest's tree species. At the end of the trail, to the delight of visitors, there is an imposing specimen of the Pau d'Alho tree, one of the main attractions of the protected area. The trail starts near the artificial lake and follows the old road, entering the dense forest with specimens of noble hardwood trees; at the end point of the trail you can see the imposing Pau d'Alho tree.
