Trilha do Rio Paraibuna

Description

A contemplative hike along the banks of the Paraibuna River, admiring the beautiful Barracão Waterfall and its cascades and rapids right at the beginning. Featuring Araucaria forest, specimens of juçara palm (Euterpes edulis), identified trees, rare orchids, and bromeliads. Additionally, there are animal tracks and a possibility of encountering them.

A short, contemplative walk through Dense Ombrophilous Forest at different stages of regeneration, along the Rio Paraibuna; passing through the Araucaria forest. - Observation of birds and also of wildlife traces; - Recreation; - Field study; waterfall swimming; - Observation of bird biodiversity. Starting point: Núcleo headquarters/base – Visitor Center, 300 meters from the start of the trail.
