Route

The trail starts at the Parque Ecológico Sucupira and goes to the Pedra Fundamental, passing through the central area of the city of Planaltina, reached via Av. Goiás, and heads toward Av. Salvador Coelho, where it passes one of the attractions, Praça São Sebastião with its church, and a little farther ahead Av. Maranhão, in the Setor Tradicional. After the Cemitério São Sebastião, still following the avenue, the trail crosses the Córrego do Atoleiro in the rural area and continues to the Nossa Senhora de Fátima neighborhood. The route continues to the Unidade de Internação de Planaltina, passes EC 7 de Planaltina and goes around to reach the Caesb sewage treatment plant. Then it crosses the DF-230 and heads toward the Pista de Aeromodelismo de Planaltina, going around along the road and climbing the Morro da Capelinha, where there is a lookout with a view of the whole region. After that, it passes several small farms and rural settlements until it reaches EC Pedra Fundamental and the Monumento Natural da Pedra Fundamental.
