Trilha Praia/Costão Juréia

Description

Juréia Beach is one of the most beautiful and preserved beaches in the region. It stretches from the meeting point of the Ribeira River with the sea, a place known as Praia do Encontro, passing through Barra do Ribeira, where public visitation is more intense, featuring bars, restaurants, and infrastructure to accommodate visitors. Shortly after the Vila do Prelado, Praia da Jureia continues into the Prelado State Park until its endpoint, where it meets the Rugged Coast of Juréia. It totals about 20 km in length, with the 13 km further south managed by the Marine Environmental Protection Area of the Southern Coast (APAMLS) and about 7 km to the north, included within the PEP. Rivers are located about 3 km from the start of the PEP and are among the favorite spots for bathers to enjoy a sunny day with their families in its calm waters. A perfect place for birdwatching. Remember that barbecues, domestic animals, and sound devices are not allowed throughout the Park area.
