A trilha é maravilhosa! Entretanto, no final do trajeto está cheia de lixo. Talvez pela proximidade com as casas.
Para quem não tem um bom preparo físico eu não recomendo fazer o trajeto de ida e volta.

Map Guidelines Extension: 6.37 KmDifficulty: ModerateOrientation: EasySignaling Level: CompleteMinimum Altitude: 23m Maximum Altitude: 274m Negative Unevenness: 406m Positive Unevenness: 182m Route The Travessia Tupinambá is made up of some PARNIT trails: Trilha dos Blocos, Trilha do Bosque dos Eucaliptos, Trilha do Cafubá and Trilha dos Mirantes do Cunhambebe e da Tapera, which connect Praça Dom Orione to Rua dos Corais.
The Travessia Tupinambá starts at Praça Dom Orione, located in the São Francisco neighborhood. Go along Estrada Nossa Senhora de Lourdes and, after passing property number 292, follow the bend to the left until you find the entrance to the Trilha dos Blocos, on the right side of this road. At this point, the route is characterized by a climb made up of a series of outcrops and boulders. Continuing along the route, visitors will find some concrete pillars that mark the boundary of an old subdivision. Then, after walking a few meters, you will need to go up a climb parallel to the road toward the end of the Trilha dos Blocos.
After completing this section, visitors should walk a few meters along Estrada Nossa Senhora de Lourdes until they find an entrance on the right, across from property number 301, to start the Trilha do Bosque dos Eucaliptos. At this point, hikers should climb and cross the entire Bosque dos Eucaliptos, and take the path on the left to a fork, where they should continue to the right, always parallel to Estrada da Viração, passing narrow sections close to the road, until reaching the ruins.
From this point of the Travessia Tupinambá, the route partly follows the Trilha do Cafubá, which starts to the left of the north takeoff ramp (overlooking Guanabara Bay), where visitors should walk a few meters and turn right, running parallel to the Travessia Waimea (for cyclists only) until reaching the summit. Continuing along the route, you should go about 350 meters to a fork. In this section, take the path on the left until you come to a fork located on a rock outcrop, turn right and continue for about 300 meters to a three-way fork, where visitors should take the route on the right. Along the route there is a sharp bend to the right, and you will need to descend to a fork and take the route on the right for about 500 meters, until you reach the point where you have to cross the Córrego do Morro da Viração. Next, continue for about 350 meters to a bamboo grove, turn right and cross the Córrego do Morro da Viração again until you reach the “Pouso do Caçador”. From this point, climb the slope through the Vale das Jaqueiras for about 600 meters to a fork that gives access to the Mirantes do Cunhambebe e da Tapera, turn right and climb for a few meters. When passing a bamboo grove again, hikers should always keep left to reach the Mirante do Cunhambebe. After completing this section, you can continue toward the Mirante da Tapera. In this case, return to the trail and go up a climb on the left, passing the Ruínas do Atalaia until you reach a rock outcrop, and go down the trail keeping to the right-hand route to reach the Mirante da Tapera. To finish the Travessia Tupinambá, hikers should return to the fork that gives access to the Mirantes do Cunhambebe e da Tapera, and descend the slope for about 1 kilometer until reaching Rua dos Corais, in Jardim Imbuí.
