Trilha Sertão Zen (circular)

Description

This trail starts in Alto Paraíso do Goiás and is an out-and-back route. It can be completed in two days, with an overnight stay. It is an official trail of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, passing through the Paranã Valley and reaching the Abismo Waterfall, offering a stunning view of the entire Paranã region.

Tips

Rocky, steep terrain, high sun exposure, and there is a risk of flash floods in the streams and waterfalls during the rainy season (from October to April). There is no entrance fee.

Route

In the North-South direction (going to the waterfall), follow the black footprints on a yellow background. In the South-North direction (returning from the waterfall), follow the yellow footprints on a black background. Starting from Alto Paraíso de Goiás, take the road to the left, toward "Morrão". Cross the bridge over the Córrego Passatempo, go up the hill, and walk to the cattle guard of the Samasati gated community. The trail starts at the parking lot, before the gate. Follow the signs to the lookout, where the waterfall and the Córrego do Ferreirinha are.
