Caminho dos Veadeiros
Description
It is a Long-Distance Trail (LDT) for walking and cycling that integrates the Caminho dos Goyazes, as part of the Brazilian Trail and Connectivity Network. With a planned length of 1,117 km. Generally, the walking trail starts in Formosa and goes through Planaltina, Água Fria de Goiás, São João d'Aliança, Alto Paraíso de Goiás, Colinas do Sul, and Cavalcante, with the last four being part of the Chapada dos Veadeiros, which gives the trail its name and inspires the signage brand. The Long-Distance Trail connects paths, small roads, and highways that follow the dynamic relief of the Serra Geral do Paranã and its variety of landscapes and views. The beauty of the Cerrado, the grandeur of the waterfalls, and the friendliness and hospitality of Goiás will make this a unique trail and experience for travelers, who can experience it on foot or by bicycle. Inspired by other long-distance trails in Brazil and around the world, the Veadeiros Path serves as a tool for leisure and recreation, job and income generation, and conservation, protecting landscapes, species, and ecosystem services.
